Yeah I mean Katrina is so yesterday. They should just get over it already.

Still yesterday, they were bringing it up to remind us that Haiti was nothing, Katrina is still a mess!

I'm torn, I would love to root for Gregg Williams and even Brunell and Prioleau, but I am just sick of the "Saints are so strong they way they saved the city after Katrina...New Orleans deserves this!"

It makes me want to root against them.

Anyways, I want to see Peyton Manning win more SBs than Brady to shut the annoying Bostonians up.

I'm the same way and I'm taking the whole Katrina thing out of this. Just saying that all of a sudden they get good and then the bandwagon rolls out. Has Cowboys circa mid-90s all over it.

Yeah Haiti isn't anything. Over 150,000 dead and the body count is going to rise even more. A hurricane is overpowering for sure, but folks have at least a couple days to evacuate. You know it is coming and can escape. An earthquake is immediate and very scary. I know they are still rebuilding in NO and other places, but damn, Haiti is going to be rubble for a long, long, time.

Yeah I know, sorry I forgot my sarcasm flag with that post.

I was in New Orleans back in May of last year so I saw things firsthand

You're in MS. The actual center of the storm. We never hear about you and I'm sure most of the fund raising by politicians and celebs gets poured into New Orleans, not Mississippi or anywhere else hit by hurricanes. I'm just tired of the sympathy campaign for New Orleans. They have received more money than any other place that was hit by a natural disaster and are still asking for more.

I have a ton if respect for the people of Mississippi after the hurricane. They never complained, never asked for Government and taxpayer handouts and in fact, were better prepared because they're not electing corrupt people to spend the levee money on everything BUT safety.

Seriously, every time I am watching football and they start talking about the Saints and Katrina, I always (often out loud) ask "What about Mississippi, or Florida?"

I understand it WAS devastating to a lot of people, but the actions of some in New Orleans afterward and then electing the same people who almost cost them their lives...it's tough to feel as much pity for them.

Thank you. New Orleans took Katrina on the chin because they built poor levees. We took Katrina on the chin because Katrina came right through our town. People on my block died because of trees falling on their houses and it was pure fortune that it wasn't me, too. It drives me nuts when people mention New Orleans only in connection to Katrina and forget about Mississippi.

But if you think that Mississippi does not elect corrupt politicians, then I'd like to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.
