Re: Prospects for Shanahans offense/Hasletts 3-4 D
I think Terrence Cody really dropped after this week, he is now a second rounder who could fall to the third round. If we were to get a 3rd round pick for someone like landry, I would use that 3rd to get him, just because he is a NT and good one for the NFL.

Teams aren't going to go crazy spending money in an uncapped season. It's not that hard to estimate what the cap would have been increased to, and teams will just use that figure as a self imposed cap.

As mentioned above cap mgmt is one of the things BA is known for, and the Skins overall under Snyder have always been cap wizards, so I'm not overly concerned.

Anyone know how good Andy Alleman and/or Rex Hadnot are? Both are Olineman expected to hit the open market.

Re: Prospects for Shanahans offense/Hasletts 3-4 D
Here's an intriguing idea for a veteran QB. Dare I suggest David Carr? Lol, this post is just gushing with irony but I'd be interested to see him in Shanahans offense.

Re: Prospects for Shanahans offense/Hasletts 3-4 D
I agree. Don't be upset or surprised when power running teams like the Jets and the Ravens will be able to run up the middle on us next year.
I am not a big fan of the 3-4. I was hoping we would keep the 4-3 base and use the 3-4 on passing situations. One of the few things we were really good at the last two years was stopping the run. That is a good start...why mess with it? Why not build on what we have? We are going to need LB's. |
