Re: Prospects for Shanahans offense/Hasletts 3-4 D
NY Giants backup quarterback David Carr has learned from past experiences to not expect compliments from assistant coach Chris Palmer | - NJ.com
Carr seems like a dude who seems to get scared. That may result in a hesitant trigger-finger as well, but I only going by what I hear, since I've never seen him play when he was playing a lot. |

Matt Klap FB Oklahoma. Is Very similar to Peyton Hillis, can catch and is a fast strong running FB. Good replacement for sellers.

Re: Prospects for Shanahans offense/Hasletts 3-4 D
So I just got the new draft preview magazines out now on shelves. Here are a few things I noticed.
-Jared Veldheer never allowed a sack his entire college career at Hillsdale college(sure its a D2 college, but still thats very impressive) -Jeff Byers from USC sounds like a great prospect for the OL for us - all the magazines were sure to note that Jason Fox of Miami is best at zone blocking (future RT for the redskins???? I've been mentioning him for a while) - Arthur Moats of James Madison is a very quick DE, who maybe moved to 3-4 OLB in the NFL, which last I heard is a position of need for us. Plus he got the award for best I-AA player which Jared Allen won. -Petrus (as I've mentioned before) sounds like a great zone blocker as well, at Guard.

Pretty good interview with Zoe Alexander on redskins.com. Sounds like he's going to play at around 270 lbs. Wow.
There seems to be a good vibe and mental shift going on at Redskins Park. I like. |

Re: Prospects for Shanahans offense/Hasletts 3-4 D
Are Kemo or Montgomery flexible enough to play DE in the 3 - 4?
I was wondering if we could have a front 3 of Godzilla, Montgomery and Kemo on running downs. That would be disgusting... |

Re: Prospects for Shanahans offense/Hasletts 3-4 D
Dont forget about Golsten and Daniels, both of them play the run better than Monty. For some reason I think Golsten is going to do really well at end in 3-4 ish defense. LB is the only real issue I see.

Kemo's flexible enough if healthy, but probably won't be asked to do it. Montgomery, probably not, I'd say.

I doubt Monty plays much and won't be surprised if he's not on the team for the whole season. He really needs to step up to last...

Well other than Kemo and Haynesworth, do we have any other DTs? If not then I'm sure he'll stick around.

A couple of teams have asked about Monty, so far we've said no

Although, after Kemo, isn't Monty the only other player that has the ideal physique for a NT?
