I will have to say my parents have done very well for themselves and enjoy a very nice lifestyle but now that I am older I can see that material things have kind of consumed them, kind of like what the guy was saying in the article just working to get stuff you don't need.

My parents stuff own them they don't own the stuff. Always worrying about what will break next or what to buy next or working long hours to buy the next thing (more my dad). I have no desire to live their lives.

I will take my family, our health and a house with a little white picket fence, that is all I need.
