Re: LT for Portis?
Kerry Rhodes for Laron Landry? Well, the Jets already have a safety suited to play up closer to the line of scrimmage who can't cover very well (Leonhard). Not sure why they'd want to add a hot head who can't cover his eyes and has no clue what tackling means.
And sorry, but Santana Moss and Carlos Rogers aren't worth Brandon Marshall by himself, let alone a package deal with Kuper. "Throw in Randle El if we have to" ???? Dude, I would trade Randle El for a side of rice pilaf at this point. LT for Portis? Two high-mileage backs pretty far past the prime of their careers. I'd say it's an even swap, except LT has more character in his big toe than Portis has in his whole body. I'd take all of these trades. Unfortunately we need to get Mike Tannenbaum, AJ Smith, and Brian Xanders high on crack to have a chance.
