Re: 2010 Combine

There looks like a lot of good O-linemen available. It makes me wonder how many will be taken in the first round and what/who will be available in the second and beyond. I've read that Iupati is trying to show he can play tackle at the combine.

Re: 2010 Combine

Jimmy Clausen 6'2, 222 lbs (that should answer the questions about whether he's even over 6 feet)

Sam Bradford 6'4, 235 lbs

Re: 2010 Combine

I thought it was kinda funny that people were seriously questioning Clausen's height to begin with. Just eyeballing him on TV you can tell he's over 6'.

Waiting to hear on Colt McCoy's height and weight

Curious about Bradford's weight. Is that added muscle?

Chris Mortensen via Twitter:

Bradford's slight build last year at Okie (around 222) concerned some teams. His 236 looks like good (muscle) weight.

And from MoveTheSticks:

My sources at the weigh-in said that Bradford carried 236 well. Muscled not puffy.

Bradford's weight gain & healthy shoulder are all he needs to be the #1 pick as Schefter says he'll be. Scouts rate him high in every other area from what I've read.

Shanahan will be addressing the media around 10:45 today. I'll try to keep everyone updated on what he says

Re: 2010 Combine

I'll be on a conference call at that time though so it might be tricky

Anyhow

Jonathan Dwyer-5'11" 229 lbs (I think scouts were hoping he'd be closer to 220 lbs)

LeGarrette Blount-6'0", 241 lbs

Jahvid Best-5'10", 198 lbs

Re: 2010 Combine

Shanahan says he's hired a couple more strength coaches

Expects everyone at the offseason programs

Expects Campbell here

Will tender him next week

Expects competition for the QB position

Re: 2010 Combine

You know where i think Tebow should land. Indy.

Perfect situation for him to learn and grow behind the best QB in football. The guy says all the right things about work ethis and stiving to get better. If I were him I would be begging for a chance to learn from the best in Peyton. Indy needs a backup and Tebow would be a good fit. He gets a chance to sit and learn and if he pans put then The Colts would probably be able to get good value for him if they ever wanted to trade him in a few years. Tebow also doesn't have the pressure of having to ebcome a starter any time soon.

That could be a good fit for him.

Re: 2010 Combine

Indy or maybe even New England. The silver lining in all of this for Tebow is he will likely go to a good team where he can learn from an established QB and stable coaching staff.

I agree. My only worry is that the Jags take him in the 1st round. They're desperate to start selling more tickets and he's a hero in the state of Florida. They've been linked to him for a while. I really hope that doesn't happen. The best chance for him to succeed will be to play behind an established qb for a few years.

One thing you can bet on is that he'll do great with the interviews and chalk talk, plus I'm sure his workout numbers will look a good bit better than the other top qbs (i.e. bench press, short shuttle, 40 yard dash). I think he's smart to wait to throw until pro day.
