Don't know the Cardinals' cap situation, but I'd imagine the paperwork won't actually go through until after midnight, when the cap evaporates. Still, I believe once a team has declared that they are releasing a player, it is no longer tampering to negotiate with his agent.

Jamal Williams is cut by San Diego. He's a guy I'm going to have a tough time putting a grade on for the free agency sheets. Could be anywhere between an 80 and an 87. I'll have to look at his production from the last three years.

Phillip Buchanon released by Detroit, which is interesting. He has started to fulfill his potential since 2007. That would be a guy to look at picking up in free agency.

With Rock AND Betts now gone, I think it's now reasonable that the team might go after a player in free agency at the RB position.

Westbrook monopoly? That'd be my choice. Kevin Faulk as well.
