Jason La Canfora says we've inquired with the Rams about the availability of Adam Carriker, which is perplexing only because Carriker would be a 5-technique in our defense. And we already have like eight of those.

I want to see where Jarmon is going to play in this defense. He was projected as a 3-4 DE, but his athleticism allows him to play OLB in the defense, and he might be more valuable there, on the strong side.

They're looking at Jarmon as a OLB, and I suspect AC (not Andre Carter) as 3-4 DE. I can't imagine the interest is too strong though in Carriker

Unless they are interested in our 7th for a guy they took in the first round three years ago, I can't imagine we'd every going to agree on compensation.

In his current role, I'd say no, but he missed his third season (2009) with some leg injury, and the Rams have switched defenses on him twice, arguably playing him out of position both times.

So his trade value would be based on his developmental prospects as opposed to his production. The equation: knee surgery + development + first round contract cost = cheap.
