re: Peppers signs with the Bears (updated - again)

Does anyone remember a couple years back before we played the Bears (TC came in relief & won game, began 4 game win streak to playoffs), JLC did a comparison of the two teams over the previous years. He said the bears had a plan to build through the draft & re-sign their own.

Wow, look at them now, traded big for their qb of the future, and now signing an old rb & big name DE in free agency.

you dont need a good offensive line if you have great skill position players.

Yeah that worked out great for them last year. Can't wait to see Cutler taking those 7 step drops under Martz, he's gonna get killed.

It would be Dallas and Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl every other year.
Minnesota and New York go when those two don't.

They still have Matt Forte as well. It's not like they abcolutely needed another back. They need Oline. Matty is right, that was one of thier weaknesses last year.

i can not understand forte's drop in production this past year. i get that he greatly overperformed his rookie year for what was expected but when i watched him his rookie yer he was solid, consistent and really seemed like he would continue to grow.

then he hit that sophmore slump.

The Bears are giving an impression of desperation.

I know how it feels now to be a fan of a team that (knock on wood) is quiet in free agency while watching others chase the big names. Nice to be on the other side (so far, we've still got plenty of time for danny to sign some checks).

this is exactly what the jets were doing the season before the mangenius was fired. lovie and company know they'll all be canned if they dont have a good year.

Wow, the Bears have truly become the Redskins.

- Giving up draft picks for players CHECK
- Completely disregarding the offensive line CHECK
- Making a splash in free agency on skill positions players CHECK
- Signing a marquee free agent CHECK
- Coach is already on the hot seat and the season hasn't started CHECK

Good luck Chicago.
