Unlike the Redskins, the Bears have at least been to the Super Bowl recently. Just because their addressing some of their key needs today doesn't automatically mean they're going to have a year like the Skins.

They still have major OL issues with limited draft picks and a weak FA market...

We've seen this scenario too many times, just smells like a Redskins offseason to me. If anyone knows that spending $$ typically doesn't get the best results, it's us.

The Bears have multiple needs and are addressing some of them. Remains to be seen what else they do, but they've had a very good day so far.

The Redskins have had many good days in previous offseasons, but that hasn't necessarily translated into wins or playoffs.

I'm not saying that what the Bears are doing today will translate into wins or playoffs. They still have areas to address. But they are filling needs, not necessarily grabbing the biggest names available just to grab a name, like Snyder has done for years.

Well they gave up a ton of picks because of Cutler last year (similar to Snyder) and since they don't have too many picks, they have to rely mainly in free agency. I'm just seeing a lot of our past mistakes in them this year.

Funny line from the Chicago Tribune:

"Smith will accompany Peppers and agent Carl Carey back to Chicago on Friday, presumably to ensure the plane doesn't take a right turn to Washington."

So far so good. It looks like the FO is going to use the draft as the cornerstone in rebuilding the team. The big name FAs are taken pretty much. Unless there is a big trade in the works, not much really to look forward to til draft day.

We'll have some guys before then, nothing blockbuster I doubt, except yeah, in the event of a trade.
