Exactly, coaches alway do this, in fact nobody was better at it than Saint Joe. Why badmouth your players when you can talk good about them and maybe generate some interest from another team who might give you something for him.

It's funny, when Joe was here and all you would hear is him saying it all rests on his shoulders fans would be all up in arms calling out the players saying Joe had nothing to do with how the players play on the field and Joe should just tell us fans who screwed up. I've heard this and read this during both terms. Then we pick up Zorn who calls out players in order to get them to perform and people complained about how he was airing all the laundry through the media, then the players got on board and all of a sudden it was taboo.

All I can remember is thinking how nice it was prior to the airing of the laundry and calling people out.
