Hicks may not be that good, but Heyer is so bad that he may win out against Heyer.

Which is the kind of dualism we have to stay far away from while we rebuild the offense.

This doesn't prevent us from adding better players, but the moves seem more designed to placate a fanbase than improve a team. Not that I'm against either signing in particular, it depends on how we progress with them.

Hicks is a G. Heyer has never played at the G position. Hicks will be competition, something Shanahan wants at all positions.
