I wouldn't exactly say he provides a negative public face for the school. Sure I hate that he's a Cowboy, and he's clearly not well-spoken or very intelligent, but he's not a bad guy off the field, and is an NFL hall of famer. But if I was trying to market a UF education, I certainly wouldn't mention Emmitt.

I think right now the face of UF is without question Tim Tebow. His big toe is smarter than Emmitt.
