Big Ben accused of sexual assault

The word on Big Ben in Pittsburgh is that he's basically a pussy pirate, or at least thats what my cousin tells me. Personally this could go either way. I mean if you were looking to extort an athlete for money Big Ben would be pretty ripe. I mean coming off a previous sexual assault charge and having the same thing happen again is enough to create doubt in the mind of plenty of people.

On the other hand there have been plenty of rapist out that have been charming and visible in the community with a positive image, enough that they're able to get away with whatever their hearts desire. Some are also really good at picking victims that would hypothetically lack credibility when it comes to a trial.

I'll personally wait for the evidence on this one. But initially it sounds like another extortion case to me.

Maybe Ben should just change his name, I mean this is the man that had someone impersonating him to get dates:

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hires high-profile Atlanta lawyer - ESPN

Come on, what do they want Ben to do? Of course he's going to hire a high-profile attorney. It's like Ben hires former institutionalized inmate to prove innocence. The real question is what the hell is Ben doing in Millidgeville, Georgia? I've been to Milidgeville, theres nothing to do there.

I am not really seeing a Jenny Craig before and after photo here. Some people just have chubby cheeks even when they are thin. To say becasue he has gained some weight he is alcoholic is kind of a stretch.

Yeah, I'm not saying that it's definitely proves he's an alcohlic but I do think that combined with the photos (of him around town) and reputation he has around town it makes a case towards that possibility. I mean one of the easiest ways to gain weight is to drink alcohol and Ben's weight has been going up without muscle gain which is unusual for a guy thats as physically active as a pro football player.

In the end it's just circumstantial but it does point to the possibility.

Agreed, and by the same token McNabb has gained a lot of weight to since his rookie year so maybe I'm making a lot of noise about nothing. I still think though that theres a strong chance that he's an alcoholic. Just based on what I've seen from people that I've met in my own life (none in my own family mind you) and other stuff that I keep hearing about Ben, especially from the part of my family that currently lives in Pittsburgh.

Better yet if I were to put a number on it I would say that I'm 70% sure.

Edit: On a side note, owning a shirt that says "drink like a champion" doesn't really help your case
