It's like gas prices some people don't mind paying high prices, while others shop around for lower prices.

it's good to get that low priced gas but, you end up getting what you pay for
not premium performance. I would not be soo against this strategy if we had some more draft picks, but we don' t.

You say this as if the acquisition of Clifton/Pashos/Parker/Foote would have actually provided premium performance.

If you wanted premium performance in this free agent class, you pretty much had to chase Peppers, Brackett, or Kampman (or Ben Watson, if you had a need at TE). We let those players sign elsewhere, so you're already shopping in the bargain bin at that point.

Regular gas can be highly-priced, especially WHEN SUPPLY IS LOW.
