Re: Mega-Merge: 2010 Free Agency Rumors and Reports Thread
Why isnt anyone bringing up the prospect of possibly getting Pike with our 4th rounder. Alot of people think he could possibly drop that low, and if he does, what a steal that would be. We would have a young talented backup to JC, and after 1 or 2 years with Shanahan, he could very well compete and steal the starting job away from JC.
Just saying........He would definitely be an upgrade over Cult Brennan. I just dont know why he isnt getting a little more attention on these boards, he is after all, very similar to Elway, just a bit taller, and not as much zip on the ball, but those things can be worked on. His release is almost exactly like Elways........ Again, Just throwing that out there. Think I used enough commas? lol |

I will say though that he does seem to have a pretty good head on his shoulders but in this, the ultimate QB intangible draft ie the anti-Big Ben and Michael Vick draft, he pales in comparison to Bradford, McCoy, and Tebow . I would much rather have Tebow if it came down to getting a mid round prospect though I also favor Robinson (Ok State), LeFevour, and Snead. Above all else though my favorite non-first round QB at this point would probably be McCoy.

His numbers were inflated by the spread and Mardy Gillyard's playmaking abilities. |
