Since the alamo opened up last October, we haven't been going anywhere else. You can see the undertone where this may offend folks. Really just say you are sorry and move on.

My 2cents: when someone says:"not to sound ..." to me I figure they probably are about to make a ... type statement. If someone says "to tell you the truth" to me that preps me for a lie (or else I think they are so used to lying that they need to emphasize the truthfulness of this particular statement)
