Jimmy Clausen has met with the Redskins

Clausen is overrated, look how good Brady Quinn has turned out under the coaching of Charlie Weis. Move up to take Bradford, maybe Campbell, McIntosh, this year's first, and next year's second could get that done with the Rams, trade down with the Seahawks or Browns who might want Clausen, or stay at four and take Okung. If we stay at four and take the OL then pick McCoy in round two or move up slightly to ensure his services.

The think about Quinn though was that Quinn never took chances and had spotty accuracy to boot. However he had great intangibles and 37 TD passes to go with it. Quinn though has a reputation for spending more time in the weight room then the film room. Not a problem with Clausen.

Another thing that seperates Clausen from Quinn despite his clear advantage in accuracy is the fact that Clausen has taken plenty of chances downfield and thrown only 4 ints in the process. Basically Clausen's numbers aren't inflated to much by passes under 10 yards and thats part of the reason I like him.

Crap, what I meant to say is that right now he has a reputation for spending hours on end watching film. Still Jimmy has done a decent job bulkin gup since his freshmen year.

He's reportedly watched hours of film on Jimmy Clausen, so I'm sure he's formed a pretty strong opinion of the former Notre Dame quarterback. We keep reading that Clausen's alleged cockiness put off some teams at the combine, but I haven't heard that complaint from anyone in the Redskins organization.

I would prefer to stay away from Clausen altogether. We already have a QB on our roster with good physical tools but questionable leadership skills/intangibles. Why go down that road again?

Carrying a team with average, at best, talent on his back with an injured foot for half the season sure doesn't seem to me like questionable leadership skills/intangibles.

I don't think it's Clausen's intangibles that anyone questions. He's definitely displayed leadership qualities over and over again.
