I wouldn't.

does somebody know some possibilities?

I think at that point I'd try to package him up and get a 2nd

I don't know though

We may actually have to package him up to get the 3rd and 4th, alone he probably gets one or the other. And right now there is just one (maybe two) team interested in him.

Good backup move, not sure it tips our hand on anything really. We needed a veteran backup and he knows the system.

This is all I think this is. Shanny can't want this guy to see the field this season and JC isn't as valuable as we need him to be to trade him unless we package in someone else. The FO has shown to be more conservative than in the past so I don't see us doing anything too crazy to land a QB.

The Giants got Sergie(sp) and ...I don't like it,Garcia is still out there and he is a good back up....I wish we had gotten him.I feel Grossman will want to start.....and just might.JC is as good as gone ....and it's a shame ....yes I would take him,I like Eli but Campbell can play.

I think it is a good move to sign a QB that know the system. I really don't see Grossman as a starter! I think JC will get traded now. I have mixed emotions.

Someone will have to give us a 1st-round pick.

I doubt it will happen.

From what we've heard, Shanahan likes Brennan. I wonder if this settles our QB position with JC, Rex and Colt...letting us really concentrate on the O-line in the draft. We can look at getting Jake Locker next year if JC fails behind a good line, which I don't see happening.

If we don't upgrade the O-line, we'll be worse off with a rookie QB and bad line than with Campbell and a good line.

Seriously, do you know anything about football? Locker will be the #1 pick in next year's draft, so there is no way in hell we will be able to get him. Also, from everything I've heard, Shanahan isn't a big fan of Brennan, so this signing pretty much guarantees that Colt will be cut at some point. The Skins are definitely taking a QB in the draft, whether it's in the first round or after, they are taking someone, so there won't be room for Colt on the roster. BYE BYE Colt!!

Drunk already today?

We all thought Colt McCoy would be #1 in 2010 also.

I've only heard this once from a comment Kyle said about Colt. My question would be what would you expect a coach to say about one of his players? "Na, he sucks, were looking to off load him as soon as possible."

I have yet to hear that Kyle is infatuated with Colt and throwing all his chips into the pot in regards to Colt.

Jason will not get traded and no one will be willing to give up a first round pic for him. The signing of Rex is a clear sign the we will draft an offensive tackle (Okung) with the first pic maybe even trading up and gaining a pic and still getting our tackle. We need to solidify the offensive line first and foremost. Jason is not going anywhere.........

how could we trade up and receive another pick? i'm confused. also, how is this a clear sign we will get a tackle?

I'm sorry I just don't see it as "clear". All the Rex signing is, is a replacement for Collins. Yes it gives them some options and your theory could be correct but I don't think it's clear cut. If anything it makes JC expendable to settle for whatever they can get out of him if they don't get what they want. Rex's deal is only for 1 year meaning it gives them a chance to see what the Rookie can do in his first year during practice and preseason and if he's taking longer to get the system down they have Rex to fall back on.

For those of you thinking Colt is gone... I don't see that either. I'm thinking they team offers a trade with the Rams throwing JC in the mix to get "their" QB Bradford or whoever it may be and keep Rex, and Colt.
