Unless I was a lock to be a top 20 pick, I'd decline and stay at home. It was so uncomfortable watching Aaron Rogers and Brady Quinn sit there alone just waiting to be picked. Who wants to take a chance at that embarrassment?

I personally like the way Joe Thomas did it. He was a top 5 pick, and instead of going to NYC to mingle with all the media and other BS, he went fishing with his Dad on draft day. I'd rather be on my couch surrounded by trusted and loved people. Eff the limelight.

I doubt Tebow would do that. Tebow has been a media darling. Although I wonder if he'll pull a Quinn and be there all the way until the end.
