The team is 2 or 3 years away from competing anyway but at the same time we have a heavy emphasis on the run so Tebow won't be left out in the cold. I think though that he will develop faster then people think but all of this could be moot. Personally Tebow reminds me of a shorter and more wholesome version of Big Ben.

Also remember that Flacco and Ben had pretty smooth transitions from the spread in college so while the spread offense is a deterent it's still not a deal breaker especially when it comes to early success.

Why is the team 2-3 years from competing? I think this is an inaccurate cliche when teams are "rebuilding".

Between not having a kicker born with the Tony Romo gag reflex (2 wins) Shanahan (2-3 wins), a well exected draft, a couple more good FA signings and a couple of good bounces this team could win 9 or 10 games next year. If I had to bet, I would say 7-9 or 8-8 but 10-6 would not shock me. Miami went from 1-15 to the playoffs and Atlanta did a similar turnaround in the same year.

Hell they started out 6-2 with a complete jackass running things. Anything could happen.

With the way the league is set up (early draft picks for bad teams, bad teams getting easier schedules and now playoff teams are limited in FA) quick turnarounds are the norm as opposed to being the exception.
