Re: Rumor: Eagles and Rams Finalizing Trade Involving McNabb
there's no way the rams will trade for 32-yr old McNabb. It doesn't even make sense. He'll get traded, if he's traded, to a contender or a fringe contender (Vikings, 49ers).
The 49ers makes the most sense because they have 2 first round picks and can add 2 contributors and probably get away with trading away a 2nd round pick for Mcnabb. |

Gtripp... Basically your saying nnamdi can play qb for the eagles also because that's the point I was making. Samuel is a top 10 corner and mcnabb is a top 10 qb. So there is no way this would even happen. Having the "best" corner really doesn't mean a whole lot anymore. Btw Rogers and Campbell aren't even in the same discussion as mcnabb and Samuel.

If Campbell and McNabb aren't in the same discussion, even though they have similar statistics, how can you suggest that Samuel and Asomugha are on the same planet? I don't want to argue with you about the value of an elite corner because I understand where you are coming from there (not sure if I agree), but why can't that argument be applied to quarterback? Samuel is probably as far from Asomugha as McNabb is from Peyton Manning. Or at least as far as Eli is from Peyton. They may both be pro-bowlers, but one is unquestionably superior, however much that may mean.

why would mcnabb want to go to the shitty ass rams? you would think he'd rather retire.

He is 34, has 3-6 more years of earning multi million dollar contracts. I imagine he would be willing to try to go there and convince himself he can be a difference maker there.

Re: Rumor: Eagles and Rams Finalizing Trade Involving McNabb
Rams are going to get Bradford or Clausen. Why get Donovan who will only be around for the forementioned 3-6 years, when they can groom a new franchise QB? I agree with the others, just some "noise" to throw folks off. Maybe the Eagles want to mess with the Skins in making them think they are looking for a QB also. Who knows?

Three - Six years of a known product is a pretty good time frame in the NFL. I don't know if they do this, but if they do it opens up a lot of their options in the draft.

I'm just hoping the Eagles somehow end up shipping McNabb to Minnesota. Then they would either cut Sage or trade him to us on the cheap.

I'm not sure that I understand the Sage Rosenfels love. He seems to me like the definition of a journeyman backup.

Pretty much what he is. Decent backup, nothing to get too excited over. Sorta like Rexy, though Sage lacks the $exy factor.

Anyone with the name "Sage" has no business being in the NFL.
That name scares nobody. Ditto for "Lilly", "Petunia" or "Lovie." *ends rant* |

because until we have our "very own" peyton or brees wrapped up for us. someone that is the undisputed qb king, we will always salivate over prospects proven or otherwise
