FOX Sports Says Pierce is Gone

Clifton Smith was signed at MLB and was a stud at Syracuse. He left early at Syracuse and many scouts felt he had the talent to develop into a second round draft pick. He has no experience in the Pros, but we seem to have developed a knack for getting good undrafted free agents on defense. Or, at the very least, Williams is good at masking holes on defense. With Barrow coming back, I'm not terrified by the loss of Pierce.

But, if we also lose Smoot, we are going to need some help on defense (either with the pass rush or in coverage).
