doubt he'll be next unless they were bluffing on this

And sometimes we'll wait to see what the market value is relative to the price, how many guys might be out there. But we're going to constantly try to upgrade our football team, and sometimes it has to do with salary as much as has to do with just getting depth. And maybe after our minicamps, maybe after the draft, some guy will be out there, and we'll gobble him because we think he has a chance to improve our football team."
since he's unrestricted I can't see why he'd say we were waiting unless we were

the salary could be one thing, T.O. reportedly wants to make 6m/yr again

I hope you're right. T.O. or (God willing) Brandon Marshall. Kyle needs a stud WR.

Honestly, I do see this happening. Good, bad, or indifferent, we need to fill ARE's spot and he won't cost a lot to pick up.

Perhaps they feel they can wait until next yr to revamp the RB spot. Pick up the QB they want, get an OL, LB, and a FS. Then invite as many UFA OL and LB's to camp.

I could too and you can imagine how much he would like playing 4 games against dallas or philly. I would rather us trade for marshall if we didnt have to give up too much. Either the 37th pick if we cant get gaither for it or something like cooley and rodgers for him.

Re: Willie Parker a Skin

So here's where we're at right now. We cut our old over paid RBs and picked up old under paid RBs. Not bad, not bad. An anti-Cerrato move. I'm not convinced that these guys are going to be on the roster anyway. We might keep two of the three, but I have a feeling that Shann-a-Allen will find a good RB under the radar in the back part of the draft, or bring in an UDFA. Either way, I'm very excited and enthusiastic about how our front office is working now. This was long overdue.

I think Cerrato's strategy was also overpay a couple of big name free agents then find a bunch of guys to fill your roster with minimum contracts due to cap constraints.

You may be right. Whatever his strategy was, I'm glad it's no longer employed in Ashburn.

Yeah, Cerrato would have got either LJ or Fast Willie for there combined current contract.

I love the move. I orginally wanted Fast Willie over LJ. Now I am thrilled we have both.

Yep me too. Can't wait to see how Shanahan works all these guys in to the system.

At least he suggested a trade that would be likely be accepted. My personal favorites are something to the effect of "uh Andre Carte and a 5th round pick for Marshall and a first."

Throw in Rey Maualuga and you've got a deal! I know Denver doesn't have him but they could make a trade with the Bengals for him and give him to us. We could throw in Westbrook if we had to so he could take Champ Baileys place when he retires. That's GOLD baby!

true. i'm just tired of the skins getting reemed all the time with trades. imo, cooley and rogers for marshall would be us giving up way too much.
