Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
WOW!!!!!!!!! I got a text from one of my friends last night and almost shit in my pants. McNabb is still in the prine of his career and we got him for a 2nd rounder. 2nd rounders have a 50% success rate? Or less? I like this move. McNabb can play at a high level for 4-5 more years.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Now who are we going to get to give McNabb a true #1 wr??? I don't see us making this type of trade and having him throw to our current cast of wr's.

Well, this is the one area of the trade that I hope is in our favor. McNabb rarely has had a stellar WR crew and he has succeeded. So I hope he will make our receivers better.

Have you seen the stiffs McNabb has been throwing to his entire career and managed to put up great numbers? I think he can live with the current crop of wideouts. |

No one, maybe except Brady has done more with less. I think McNabb is going to make these guys better, something JC simply could not do. I still can't belive Philly traded him inside the division. Crazy.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Generally speaking, can anyone remember such a blockbuster trade, say, in the last ten years?? I can't.
I don't even put the Champ/Portis trade up there, but not comparable. This is just nuts. |

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
I'm not a fan favorite of JC or McNabb. I guess I'd take JC over McNabb only cause he's already a Skin.
But I'll say this... No different then other teams and fans saying that if JC was worth anything we'd be keeping him, If McNabb was worth anything the Eagles would be keeping him. I know players get traded for all sorts of reasons, but he's not dragging the team down character wise or breaking the law or using drugs. No team in their right mind would give up a franchise QB unless there is something wrong with him, he's lost his step, or he can't run the offense anymore. I'm telling you we are not getting the franchise QB everyone is hoping for. In defense of the move Shanahan took on a Denver team with a 34 y/o Elway and went to the SB. McNabb is only 33. So maybe Shanahan can get more out of McNabb as he did with Elway and get the job done. But I'll still hold out hope that there is a trade in the works behind the scene's so we can aquire a young QB for our future. |

He's definitly a HOF for what he has done, but I just don't think the Eagles would give up a franchise QB if he was still a franchise QB or to a division rival. |

So would you rather have Kolb or McNabb as your opening day starter with the Redskins?

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
How can you say this? I didn't see any drop off in his play last year. 14 games 22 td's and 10 ints. Year before he put the team on his back and almost got them to the SB. This guy can still get it done. Plus they're going to give him a running game, somthing he's NEVER had in Philly. Philly's loss our gain. This could really come back and bite Philly in the ass.
I hope and pray your correct. Everytime I try to point out a good move people throw stats in my face. All I'm pointing out is we have a QB with similar stats on the roster right now that everyone is trying to get rid of. I'd prefer we got younger. Lastly we back to the win now attitude. I'll give you a point though. Shanahan did well with a 34 y/o Elway and went to the SB when people thought he was washed up. Again I hope and pray your right and Shanahan can work his magic with McNabb. |

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Do we have a QB for this year and next year? Yes. We will get a future QB, doe snot have to be Bradford. I heard college QBs enter the draft every year and are supposed to be franchise QBs but they aren't. That's just a riumor I heard. Now for those wanting Sage and all there other clowns. How can you compare Sage to Mc Nabb?
