The thing is they're not willing to pay as much as a QB needy team would.

If Ben keeps on the same track off the field, they may need one sooner than later.

Would make sense. I think a few of us here have speculated that would be an option

The Skins simply do NOT need to rush into a trade. There is no deadline. Wait until AUGUST and somebody will be in need of a QB. Either a starter or backup will go down.
August will get a higher pick than right now. But I would not let Campbell go for less than a 3rd round pick. Play HARDBALL Shanny/Bruce.

Sure sure sure.. Except we miss out on this years draft. This is a so called "stacked" draft class so a 5th wouldn't hurt too too much and not to mention the potential 2011 lockout. This season is crucial for us with McNabbs age and with a miss this year we have a 35 (almost 36) year old QB come 2012

What about Jason Campbell for the Steelers's Willie Colon for RT?

I doubt the above will transpire, but I would do that deal in a second.

I think that we'd have to sweeten the deal up a bit.

I like it. The Steelers have no use for Landry however. He would be a backup and possibly not even make the roster.

How very true. This thread just put into perspective how mediocre our safeties are. I am a Doughty fan, and still like Horton but would love to see Berry here. Here's to AH/LL being traded to the Lions/Bucs for there first and something else. Berry, Okung in the first. And hopefully we find a way to get a third round pick for a RT. I am delirious and need sleep, but at 130AM this sounds great.

So Landry is a bum but we are going to package him for a top 3 pick and possibly a third...

Then we can get our first for Cooley, second for Carter, and second for JC. This FO stuff is a piece of cake.
