I think this might have been a warning shot. Seems like someone wanted the world to know that they offered the two in a trade. Weather they were serious or not remains to be seen, however I feel like it's possible that they had no real intention of trading them rather sending a message to the team and Landry/Haynesworth that they can be moved. I'm not big on conspiracy theories, hate them in fact, but with Shanahan/Allen I wouldn't doubt that this was more of a warning shot then an actual offer.

I don't get the sense that Shanny and Allen are playing games in order to send a veiled message to the players. They seem like direct people to me. In short, I think they did offer AH and Landry in trade scenarios.

I think the kind of message they would send would go something like this: "You've been traded".
