I think he's hung up on the fact nobody called JC to tell him we were trading for Donovan. JC got his feelings hurt again.

One thing i cant understand is why the team didn't tell JC. What were they waiting on? Jason to see Donovan come down to the Press Conference and then figure it out?

Makes me think it's the same old FO we are used to.....

Have said this multiple times but to some people Campbell has said they did tell him, to others he has said they didn't. I guess maybe we'll know for sure today.

But the reality is that's the NFL. That's all teams. That's all sports in fact. I'm sure they kept Campbell in the loop on as much as possible. They've told him first about all the QBs they're bringing in for visits. They let him know at least a week before we signed Grossman that they were looking at him. They also told him he was not guaranteed to be the starter.

I don't see how you can say this organization is handling things with Jason Campbell with no class. Campbell (unless he is deaf, dumb, and blind) already knew that Shanahan was NOT sold on him as the starting QB. It's the nature of the business. If you can't lead a team to playoffs, playoff wins, and at least Super Bowl appearances you can't expect to stay..at least not in this NFL.

Glad Campbell's staying away. it would only make things uncomfortable for everyone if he showed up. hopefully he can get traded sometime this week and move on with his career.

I don't know what calls were made when, but I have a feeling that MS and BA both tried to call him, but if you are JC, and your phone starts going crazy Easter Sunday and it is your coach and GM, he had to know what was happening, maybe not McNabb, but they weren't calling just to say Happy Easter.

Business is Business, the new regime is in no way indebted to JC nor do they owe him an explaination. It's not like the guy is a DC icon or won many games for the Skins, what has he done? Handle his mediocrity with class? He should watch his game film himself...the answers are all right there. He's appears to be a nice guy and I wish him luck with his future endeavors. owever, for the JC gets no respect crowd, a saying my dad used to give me: "Respect is not a given. It is an earned."

In business or any perfomanced based endeavor, respect is earned through results.

As with the Haynesworth situation, I think this is a non-drama situation. Of all people, Campbell understands what's going on and is working with the team to get him traded to a team where he can compete. I really don't think anyone shafting anybody in this situation.

Collins i feel deserves at least a little respect, maybe moreso than JC, because he stepped in and won 4 straight games and took us to the playoffs.

That right there is more than Campbell ever did in DC. That being said, business is business. There was no upside in a 38 year old backup quarterback, unless he was trying to be our Brett Favre....

Not only did Collins take us to the playoffs but we were poised to make a Super Bowl run. Unfortunately a few bad bounces worked against us in Seattle and we were shown an early exit but I feel like that team could have easily made it to the Super Bowl. They were that hot.

Also, did anyone realize that Todd Collins was a second round pick?
