I'm not saying pick up baby killers but a guy who said he wants to actually earn his money and wants to play at his best position is hardly a concern for me. We bitched when Cooley was blocking way more than running routes despite needing his help, why can't we bitch when Al should be going after the passer instead of having a 3-way with 2 OL?

The sad thing is AH could beat two OL with enough frequency to be a force in the running and passing game if he'd take his head out of ass.

On a side note, when did it become ok to tell your boss you're not going to do something or follow an assignment? I'd having him cleaning my toilets if I were ol' Danny Boy. I bet he'd be more than happy to play NT after a month or so of cleaning up after me.

you do realize that these are voluntary and that if the Skins management team looked like they were forcing AH to be there, they could be fined or have draft picks taken away right? AH has said he's not going to miss any mandatory ones.

If you reread my post, I never said anything about attending the voluntary workouts.

I just don't think a (professional) player that makes an obscene amount of money has the right to decline a request to play a position their coach wants them to play. It's not unreasonable for our best defensive lineman to play NT. They're not asking him to play safety or guard. They're asking him move down the line and knuckle up. It's not unreasonable at all.

I did mis-understand your post, I thought you were saying if Shanahan says he wants everyone there, than AH ought to be at the voluntary workouts.

To the other, if your employer tells you to do something you and you think you could do a different task better, are you saying you wouldn't try to discuss it with him. NFL players just have more spotlights, and AH has a ton more. Did AH ever not play a down where Blache told him to play? IF Haslett tells him to play NT, do you think he will simply not go out onto the field? If he's on the team he will do whatever football position is asked of him, will he be the happiest camper probably not, and if it's really out of his comfort zone then I imagine he won't be as good at it, or as motivated. This is no different than any other employee in a business. Shanahan/Haslett will either fit him into the scheme and get him to buy in, or he will be a good player who never lives up to his potential. But he's not going to just walk off the field and pout.

Playing Lorenzo Alexander at OLB is playing a player out of position. Playing AH at NT isn't.

Who should play NT if not AH? Montgomery? The guy looks like he on skates when he plays. Golston? Who?

Kemo was brought in to play NT, and any pundit with half a brain knows that the Redskins need a true 3-4 NT (since basically you depend on Kemo being healthy).

Okay and if they put him at safety he should play that, doesn't mean he should be there.
