I don't care how the coaches would spin it, I will be pissed if they ship out the best DT in the league for a 3rd rounder. That is cutting off your nose to spite your face and is just plain stupid. |

Agree! Also ironically, I believe we would give up our 3rd, if we had one for AH in a second.

Who wouldn't? I was tilting towards Shanahan on this until I heard the guy on Kornheiser say that Shanny is forcing Haslett to install the 3-4. I think it is fine to move towards a 3-4 but the reason Shanahan was run out of Denver was his failings to build defenses. It is one thing to tell Haslett, "I want to be a 3-4 team in two years". It is completely different to force a 3-4 on your coordinator and run out the best defensive lineman in football on top of that and also render a double digit sack guy useless. We aren't even 100% positive that we have the linebackers to suceed in the 3-4 and now we are crippling our defensive line? We do not have enough picks to completely revamp a defense and our offense was the main problem last year. This looks like history repeating itself. |

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 5)
Best case scenario is if they deal AH to Detroit or TB and get their 2nd rounder, which is like a late 1st rounder. Personally, I want them to get a 1st rounder and then some.

I just hope the team wont be in such haste to trade him (if they decide too) that they won't receive his value in return. |

AH is worth a 1st or a package of picks. if the best we can get is a 3rd then id rather keep him

MS on the other hand has only been a Skins fan for a few months. He was brought in and expected to make this team a contender. In order for him to get us there as quickly as possible, he needs to make drastic changes as quickly as possible. If that means 2-3 more years to get there so be it. As MS probably sees it. But in his mind he has a plan and planning to get us there as quickly as possible. IMO. |

SS, stop you're killing the rumor mongering. I hate this time of year, everyone throws out this nonsense regarding interpersonal relations at Redskins Park, as if they have the first clue as to what is going on.

By "everyone" are you refering to employees of NFL network? This information came from an analyst speaking during a segment of the Tony Kornheiser show. This isn't, "Hey what if Champ comes back". |

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 5)
I mean everyone acting as if hearing an analyst (still unnamed) on a radio show say something means it's gospel. These clowns are just making noise to justify their airtime. Haslett did have to interview for the job and if he took it after being told what the head coach wanted, now's not the time to bitch. But until i see him quoted directly, i'm not buying any division within the new staff over scheme.

I don't know exactly who said it, I missed the introduction of the segment. It was on Kornheiser yesterday.
