Re: Draft News for the Warpath
The posts and threads on this board today would be so different if we were talking about Vinny thinking of drafting Berry at #4...soooo different
But anyway...

Re: Draft News for the Warpath
while this is true for the most part, i could care less who is running the show i'm all in on berry and spiller, i think they are both awesome and would love to take either of them, i just wish we had a freaking 2nd, but i would also really like to see williams or okung here too. drafting this high throws players you don't have to have in the mix if we were drafting at 7 or 8 berry wouldn't even be in the mix, it'd be all spiller all day, and if we weren't in the top ten it'd be ol or nothing, also would be easier ot move around, i just read what i typed and really can't wait for this day to end

I'm 100% sure that if Vinny was the GM he would have drafted Clausen which is fine. However given Vinny's reputation around the league it's likely he wouldn't have been able to attract a post-Zorn coaching staff capable of developing him. I mean isn't that a big reason why Snyder had Vinny "resign," because he started to see that no reputable coach wanted to work for the Redskins with Vinny picking and backstabbing his way around town? The way Shanahan and Allen have run this team from top to bottom, from the workouts to acquiring players has been nothing short of spectacular. With that said only way to get us on board with the possible Berry pick is to find a way to still bring in a quality tackle weather it be Jamaal Brown or some other equivalent. So yes when you isolate the scenario of the Vinny picking Berry then you would probably see people grabbing pitchforks opposed to Allen and Shanahan where people at this point are much more willing to go along with the teams braintrust. Of course I must concede that a good part of that is goodwill from being the ones that made Snyder comfortable enough to go with someone else besides Vinny.

On another note, now I'm hearing Bulaga (which definitely means a trade down). This stuff is impossible to keep up with

Re: Draft News for the Warpath
My sources tell me that the Redskins are now looking to trade down and take Bulaga.

So what? Does that make your new Wu-Tang name 23 cent?

I see us trading down with the Browns and picking up williams or bulaga. Browns will take Berry.

Re: Draft News for the Warpath
good grief. this is all over the place. are the skins just putting out a ton of misinformation or do plans keep changing because we, and other teams, are in the process of attempting to make so many moves?
smoot, since you seem to be hearing alot of varied reports, id be interested in knowing your gut feeling - could you give us a percentage breakdown for each option? -The Skins trade UP for Bradford -The Skins stay at 4 and select an OT -The Skins stay at 4 and select a position other than OT -The Skins trade down a few picks -The skins trade down 10 or more spots On another note, what redskins players (if any) do you think will get moved tonight?

Re: Draft News for the Warpath

Re: Draft News for the Warpath
A buddy of mine text me that the Vikings are in "hot pursuit" on Haynesworth, reportedly for their 30th overall pick. You hear anything about that SS?
EDIT: nevermind
