Plus a top ten pick for a guy whose going to be out for a quarter of the year or more?!?! They're f*cking out of their minds.

Tebow would be perfect for Pittsburgh especially now that they want to get back to the ground game.

This could get crazy tomorrow! I think Holmgren's got to consider this too. And Seattle too. Then there's always some wild card, like us!

I think Pitt. might be over-reacting if they trade him, unless his past w/the team has also been rocky. If he's been a good teamate & employee I think it would be too much to actively seek to trade him. Give him a chance to redeem himself first. If they get a great offer, got to listen though.

Oakland seems like a somewhat obvious choice, Buffalo also a possibility.. but what if Clausen is gone before Cleveland and that's who they wanted? You think Holmgren bites on it?

From what I've heard, Holmgren is not impressed by Claussen anyways, meaning this is all the more likely that they bite because despite signing Delhomme and Seneca Wallace, they still need a QB longterm.

Jake will be a suitable starter until the suspension is over but no way they're thinking of him as a starter beyond a year or two.

You think some Steelers fans hate Ben already? Let him show up in a Clevelend Browns uniform at Heinz...I LOVE IT.

Holmgren isn't impressed by Clausen, our O-Line is fine, etc

We won't know until we do.

This. its nice to know someone else is smart enough not to take what everyone says at face value. The only thing I have beleived 100% from a coach/GM/Owner in the past week was Jerry Jones saying Tebow sucked. And I only beleived that because the man was drunk. It would not surprise me at all to see Holmgren take Clausen.

That would be believed. Its nice to know someone else is smart enough not to BELIEVE what someone says at face value if they can't spell. And it was twice, so we know it wasn't a typo. PS... As a side note, can't wait for the draft tomorrow! HTTR.

I'll say this again trade big ben to raiders for their 1st and 4th and a next year pick. Then the steelers trade us their 4th rounder for JC, (they moved up with the raiders pick) all parties will be very happy!

I don't think that it'll take that much for a team to acquire Ben at this point.

It would set their team way back to trade him regardless of their compensation, even if a #1 pick and Bradford...he'll take years to catch up to Ben even if he does succeed.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go somewhere though, because Rooney seems very angry about his QB, but I don't think the Steelers initiated the talks.
you didnt pay attention to the post. Schefter didnt just say that the Steelers were receiving calls. He also said the steelers were contacting teams in the top 10. "contacting teams" is not the same as "receiving calls." I think "contacting teams" fits the definition of actively shopping.

We still have our first rounder...maybe we can pull the trigger on this.
