There has been talk on ESPN that the Saints are talking to the Redskins about Big Al. I don't know about that. Even if they gave thier 2nd and 3rd would you do that trade being they are picking last in each round?

Wow, for a second and third...that's tempting.

The Saints D would be insane with him added to it.

yeah but towards the end of the round? I'd say a 2nd this year and a
2nd in 2011 would be better.

I dont know if i'd want a future 2nd from the Saints. If we sent them Haynesworth, we'd only be making the best team in the NFL better in 2010... so the 2011 2nd rounder would probably be close to the bottom of the round. Add to that the devaluation of future picks, combined with the significantly weaker draft class in 2011 and the Saints 2010 3rd rounder has MUCH more value than their 2011 2nd.

It's a deep draft, there are quality guys through the entire 3rd in my opinion.

absolutely not. I'd send them Haynesworth and McIntosh for their 2nd, Bushrod, and a 5th rounder though (5th rounders are so trendy).

That would be like a 3rd and a 4th. Just say No!! unless Jaamal Brown is also included.

Keep in mind this is a very deep draft so it's possible that a late 3rd is more like a mid third and a late 4th in a mid 4th. Sort of like how the guys at the top of the 2nd round right now essentially have 1st round picks. I want to go on record now as saying that the Skins 4th round pick will be Montario Hardesty for two reasons. One he visited and two:
Quote:
Vision/Patience -1 - Arguably greatest strength. Stays poised and does a good job of adjusting when defense gets good initial penetration. Patient and keeps head up so can locate another seam when the play is designed to go in a gap that doesn't open. Gets on the hip of lead blockers.
He does have durability problems though and there is a part of me that still thinks that 4th round pick will be a QB but we'll see.

Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.

Colt Brennan is better than Clausen, so we don't need to draft him. also, I would trade Haynesworth in a NY minute if we could get a 2nd and 3rd round pick for him. But TN doesn't want him, so I doubt if we can get anything of value for him. WE're stuck with the 3 picks we have left.

Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.

There is a up date on that Saints would part with Patrick Robinson[thier 1st round pick] and a 2nd or 3rd for big Al. I know this could be made up stuff but ESPN said there is some kind of talks going on between the Skins and Saints!

Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.

I wondered if the Saints would be interested in AH. Along w/Grilliams' former players Rocky & Landry, I thought they might enter into discussions for AH.

A fair & mutually beneficial deal would be; J. Brown for AH, NO pays us half of the 21 mil that we paid AH, and we in turn sign J. Brown to a contract extension. Both teams would essentially be re-signing the other's vet player.

The only place Haynesworth is going is to the Dallas backfield in week 1.

On as side note, I am going to go King Kong on New York if I see this quote posted by Matt Mosley for Haynesworth rumors on ESPN Insider:
Quote:
Matt Mosley
I could still see this happening
"For the record, I still think the Redskins would entertain offers for Haynesworth. I sat at a breakfast table with Mike Shanahan at the owners meeting and heard the tone in his voice when he discussed Haynesworth's decision to skip the offseason conditioning program. He feels like Haynesworth has already defied him in front of the team, and that's part of why he's already tried to trade him at least once."
New spin on the same rehashed story, same freaking quote.
