I can tell you one thing those picks gave us, which will forever be overlooked. They gave us a class act at the QB position at a time when we had a terrible tragedy with Sean Taylor, followed by years of upheaval and a terrible FO. Many qb's would have failed the team or bailed or like Cutler, whined like a little baby. JC acted like the consummate professional, and did his best, which in the end let the focus be on the awful FO and HC, which in turn forced DS to recognize the need for a new plan. That gave us MS and BA. And Optimism for the future.

Good luck JC, it was trial by fire here, but I wish you the best going forward.

2011 4th round pick, I love it. It was this or he would get released. Now we just cross our fingers that a) He doesn't out perform Donovan and b) our 4th round pick next year somehow manages to give us extreme depth at a position.

Hope Jason has a good ride in Oakland, at least it is warmer than Buffalo.

Still not psyched about Grossman being a backup though.

Have no fear.

Actually I'm pretty interested in seeing weather or not Colt can win the number 2 job. It seems like he's going to get that chance. All of the QB's that could have been a real threat to Colt making the team seem to have been drafted.

Colt is still the future of the franchise! McNabb will get us a championship or two over the next few years and then Colt will come in and dominate for a decade.

Actually never mind. Tony Pike is still out there. I actually feel kind of good about that. I personally didn't see much in him outside of his height and it seems like the scouts agree with me.

Kyle didn't bring Grossman in here to be third string. Grossman has started a Super Bowl, Cult has yet to take a regular season snap. Who do you think is going to be the #2?

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

My money would be on Grossman but remember Grossman got hurt in camp last year and didn't show up until the last preseason game. Colt at least made it through most of the preseason. The thing that matters is that theres going to be a competition and the best player will get that backup spot behind McNabb. I'm just interested in seeing how Colt does in this system.

Re: Campbell A Raider

Just finished watching the phone interview with JC on NFLN, and he said that he's coming in as the starter? If so, good for him. Davis must really like him.

I kind of feel like I lost a family member, I liked the guy, was he the best ever or even good enough probably not but in a world of Big Ben's you just wish a guy like this could have been the answer.

Good luck Soup you will be missed!

Re: Campbell A Raider

so, how does everyone feel about the compensation? A 2012 4th = a 2011 5th = a 2011 6th. so, i'm pretty happy. it'll most definitely be a top 100 pick. :-)
