Re: Campbell A Raider
I won't forget when Campbell was the only one to stop to sign autographs after the Carolina game in 06.. made my kid bros' day getting to shake his hand and get their caps signed.

Re: Campbell A Raider
Im happy for him. If he gets a legitimate chance to start, I think he'll win the job. He's better than both the guys they got now

Re: Jason Campbell traded to Raiders
Jason Campbell is an Oakland Raider
Posted by Michael David Smith on April 24, 2010 1:05 PM ET The Washington Redskins have traded quarterback Jason Campbell to the Oakland Raiders. It's been expected that Campbell would be traded since the Redskins acquired Donovan McNabb, and trade talk between the Redskins and Raiders heated up today. Rick Maese of the Washington Post was the first to report that the trade is complete. There's no immediate word on what the Redskins got from the Raiders for Campbell, although Maese suggests that it may have been Oakland's pick No. 190 and either No. 215 or No. 251 overall. Not a lot of compensation for a former first-round draft pick, but then again the Redskins didn't have a lot of leverage, as everyone knew Campbell was on the way out. In Oakland, Campbell has to be considered the favorite to win the starting job over JaMarcus Russell, Kyle Boller, Bruce Gradkowski and Charlie Frye.

Re: Jason Campbell traded to Raiders
Well, that's just a bullsh** comment. The guy clearly was not the answer here but he put up with a lot of crap and was a stand up guy through it all. He was a lot of things - but "bad rubbish" was not one of them.
Good luck to JC.

I don't think he will do well as most don't out there, just a guess. Just glad we got something for him.

Re: Jason Campbell traded to Raiders
I hope he works out better in Oakland than things worked out for him and The Skins here.

Redskins Insider - Redskins trade Jason Campbell to Oakland (updated)
"I'm a Raider now, so I'm going to take all my experiences here and I'll be an even better quarterback for the Raiders." - Jason Campbell Not as good as Mcnabb... But Good luck Jason... Last edited by 44ever; 04-24-2010 at 02:55 PM. |

Re: Jason Campbell traded to Raiders
Rich Gannon did very well with the Raiders, but of course he was a different kind of QB. Rich played for the Redskins, but couldn't do anything because he played with a very bad offensive line. I was surprised when he became an all-pro with the Raiders. Maybe the same thing will happen to JC.

Re: Jason Campbell traded to Raiders
Well at least we got the 4th round pick will gave in the McNabb trade in the 2011 draft! Do we have all our rounds left next draft?

Re: Jason Campbell traded to Raiders
no, we got a 4th rounder in 2012, not next year. And as long as McNabb stays upright that 4th rounder next year will turn into a 3rd
