Teams rate rookies so much higher these days, even Boston and TO didnt go for much. The only player that seemingly received high compensation was Brunell...because teh skins dont value picks liek the rest of the league

Good point - Skins throw away picks too easily. By the way - I would consider trading LaVar if he's as highly valued by another team as he is by us. I mean look at his monsterous contract! Did he win an NFL MVP award or Super Bowl or something??? His physical talents are bar-none, but he's undisciplined and cannot diagnose plays like elite linebackers do (Ray Lewis, Derrick Brooks, Takeo Spikes, etc . . .), which limits his effectiveness against savy playcalls. For all that speed, why can't he ONCE stop McNabb from scrambling on a key 3rd down??

And Showtime is right! When was the last time Arrington stopped McNabb on a crucial 3rd down conversion? The last truly game changing play he's made was the sack of Kurt Warner in the Rams game back in the '02 season. While I don't agree we should trade Arrington, I was hoping for much more when we drafted him. One game-breaking play in two years is a little lacking for a player everyone talks about like he's some sort of god. Still, I'd like to see what he can do in a Gregg Williams defense. |

It doesn't seem like many people r looking at some of these trades, like the TO and Boston trades, for what they were. The 49ers and Chargers were trying to get rid of players (and their salaries) they didn't want for whatever they could get for them. People should stop saying, well TO and Boston were given up for pretty much nothing. How can you then explain the eagles getting a conditional 2nd round pick for AJ Feeley of all people? Boston and TO are both superior talents compared to Feeley who's a backup to a backup. There's also the complaint about us sending a 3rd rounder to Jacksonville for a player about to be cut. Some players are just more valuable to some teams and sometimes teams just want to get something for a player who's worn out their welcome with the team.
