Re: prediction...
if he cannot pass a physical, he cannot be signed. the larger issue is if he is steroid enhanced. he sure looks like the package. if so, that explains his brittleness.
if not, for a vet minimum contract he might be worth a look see. he kind of reminds me of daryl gardener- damaged goods, who could provide 1 terrific season if he is motivated. but as a long term answer? highly doubtfull. as other posters have pointed out, he would result inthe loss of mccants for certain. is it worth it? not sure because it is hard to tell how deep that mccants has burrowed into gibbs' doghouse |

Re: prediction...
Buls**t. Ain't gonna happen. He's definitely not a Gibbs Redskin.
1. He popped for Roids and was suspended 2. He's always hurt (because he weighs up to 260lbs...because he's on roids...and popped for it...) 3. He takes plays off. He doesn't just have a reputation for it, he actually doesn't run routes if he's not the primary receiver (because he's tired from carrying around 260lbs of roid induced muscle) 4. The Dolphins and Chargers don't want him and the Dolphins don't think even with their pathetic passing game that he could help at all. i can't believe anyone would seriously think this. BTW, he hasn't had over 1000 yds since 2001!! This is ridiculous. |

Re: prediction...
I don't know. I would hate to see us draft a guy to be our #1 receiver only to have to possibly fight it out with him. I just don't see him being a good role model for a young receiver.

Re: prediction...
He is suspended for the first four games of this year no matter where he signs. He got caught doing 'roids while he was on IR last year.

Re: prediction...
man David Boston could be on the same level as TO if he stayed straight. He used to dominate us. We could beat the Cards but he would ALWAYS have a field day against us. The guy was a beast. Someone will take a chance on him because if hes on the field he can dominate.

Re: prediction...
My money says he isn't coming here nor should he get invited to come here. He has more downside than upside.

Anyone who thinks we'll actually sign David Boston is crazy.

Re: prediction...
David Boston = Perfect fit for the Oakland Raiders, if they hadn't already landed R. Moss.
There is absolutely NO WAY Gibbs would sign this guy. |

Re: prediction...
don't say never because Gibbs always seemed to have one or 2 guys that had a lot of problems but he was able to somewhat keep them in check and if this guy gets healthy, down to about 225 lbs, and signs somewhat close to the one year vet minimum, I'd say sign him. This probably hinges on whether Williams is there when we select our 1st rounder, but if not signing a healthy, lighter Boston would allow us more freedom to trade down, draft a cb or pass rushing de and fill our leftover holes with solid yet cheaper draft picks. But if signed, at the first sign that he's gonna cause trouble u dump him. No if's and's or but's about it.

Re: prediction...
I said we should give him a look. Maybe he'd be willing to play TE, but he is seemingly a head case.

Re: prediction...
plus didn't he already serve the 4 game suspension? or does a player have to not be on the IR for a suspension to activate?
