Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave
FD or anyone who lives on the water inour area or has gone to ocean city this weekend.
My cousin was at OC this weekend, he said the fishing and marine life was astounding. He said for as far as the eye could see it was full of whiting fish. he said there were guys catching 5-6 foot sharks one after another, he said there were whales no more than 150 yds from shore, etc. just wondering if all the marine life are migrators from the florida waters. the way he made it seem, it sounded like a stampede/parade of marine life making its way up north.

Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave
Well I was in Nags Head NC and I did not notice any rush of marine life. I will have to say that I even commented to my wife that the water was as clear as I ever recall over 30 yrs or more of going to this beach and she agreed. Fish do migrate but most do not go much further the SC in their migration. Not sure about the whales migration. I do keep up with the fishing in our area and I have not heard of anything unusual about the fishing season.

Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave
Yall funny yall think this is Katrina. I don't see American citizens standing in waist deep water for 4 days with helicopters flying around not picking them up or dropping food? Do you? I don't hear about the leader of FEMA "Brownie boy" resume highlight he led a horse raising farm, worrying aobut a press conference and excited he is gonna be on TV while people are drowning. Do you? Idiots, the longer it lasts and longer yall talk the quicker it's gonna get put on the GOP.

Yea all those helicopters just flew around looking at stuff. Also if the water was only waist deep why were people drowing?

Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave
I'm talking 4 days after the fact this was going on. Yes they were flying around looking taking pictures not picking people up. Worrying about looting but not bringing food until a week opr two later. These were live picutes of an American city under water. Millitary people asked to go. You prolly wasn't that concerned with Katrina I watched it all. You only concerned about Bush's reputation after over 1500 americans drowned. Oops you might be from the Michelle Bachman school, they might not have been real Americans. This spill is what happens when coporations write their own rules. They put profit before the lively hood of millions of people at risk for profits when the victims have nothing to gain from these same profits. All risk no reward. Is that capitalism?

Re: Guard watches coast for oil slick's first wave
So your on what your 3rd six pack of PBR or do you drink the good stuff Natural Light. Why do you keep bringing up Katrina. I'm guessing its because you know Obama has screwed this up so you want to point out what Bush screwed up to take attention away from Obama.
