The difference is that Packers were so bent on keeping Favre out the division that they didn't get much by way of compensation for Favre. The Eagles FO saw what happended with Favre as a cautionary tale, realizing that McNabb will eventually end up where he wants to go they may as well try to get compensation for him. I would like to claim this as my own opinion but i heard it from John Clayton first. |
