It's hard to imagine that a guy who isn't dominating right now would be effective at age 33 or 34, but if the compensation isn't obscene, they'd only need a good year or two out of him to justify the trade.

This really doesn't have to be a trade for 2012 and beyond to make sense. It's clear there's no rebuilding going on here.
