Lived here my entire life and have never gone to see them in person. Well there was one time I parked on 50 to watch them, but I'm talking like down on the mall, going to do that this year.

Going to take the HD camcorder and hopefully get some good video.
Oh man. I can't believe you've never seen them live. It's so awesome. Being at the foot of the Washington Monument with those fireworks going off overhead... gives me chills.

Neither my wife nor her twin sister who will be in town this weekend have ever seen them live in DC. It's gonna be awesome to see their reaction.

I never have either. My family never did much of anything and living in southern VA there was usually even less to do. Though from our nearly annual visit to SC we'd buy a ton of fireworks and wait almost a year to set them off for the 4th.

Since being back up here I was always working too much to venture into DC for the show. One of these years I'll make it.

IT is a good show but to me fireworks are fireworks, they have not come out with anything new in the fireworks world.

One year I lost my ride home during the fireworks and I had to sleep in the Mall in DC until the metro's started running again, it was actual a fun experience.
