the point is that mcnabb is respected in the locker room and can get our tops wrs to arizona for extra work outs. i dont remember JC having the wr core to mississippi. mcnabb commands way more respect and control over the whole offensive scheme than JC, no doubt about it.

this kind of news makes me wish it was august already. pass me some of that koolaid.

I'm not arguing that JC is as good or better than McNabb- he's not. But respect from teammates was certainly not an issue with Campbell.

i think it was a different kind of respect though. campbell was respected as a person and as being tough. he was well liked but he was not respected as the leader of the offense.
i don't mean to knock on campbell, i like the guy but he was way too unemotional. he needed to show more fire and leadership, imo.

I don't know the guy personally but it seems that JC is the perfect guy for the "keep it medium" approach. Don't get too high, don't get too low. Honestly I expected a lot more out of him after tough losses. He didn't want to throw himself under the bus which is fine, but he should've shared what could've made a difference. Then again, the after game interview doesn't mean shit.. it's the game itself that means something. The real shame is that when Campbell got comfortable and would be running the late game drills he looked at his best. You can chalk that up to defenses playing a bit relaxed or whatever, but you'd actually see his technique and reads step up at the same time.
