Haynesworth fails conditioning test

i was looking for some info on jarmon and stumbled across this article about hanyesworth and shanny. it's a decent read, i only skimmed through it to be honest though just like everyone else i'm pretty burnt out on haynesworth talk. anyway here is a link to the article and a few qoutes thought some good news about haynesworth was worth posting. and i really hope jarmon has a good year i think he could be a pretty damn good de/lb in the 3-4.

Perhaps most encouraging is Haynesworth's effort to counteract his reputation as a selfish and self-absorbed teammate. He has taken a visible interest in second-year player Jeremy Jarmon, tutoring him on the sideline and demonstrating techniques.

"Albert's always been able to help me out, sometimes when Coach is occupied and doing things, he's able to kind of just keep some of those ideas fresh in my head that Coach was going over in meetings and stuff," Jarmon says. "He just talks to me about hand placement and stance and things like that."

They need to cut the shit and just have AH sit out til the knee is treated and healed. Every time they try to test the guy is a media feeding frenzy that is fast becoming a distraction to the team. Diffuse the situation by sitting AH out with an aggravated knee injury. He probably aggravated it busting ass to shed those 35lbs as he probably overdid it with running, etc. I see no point in giving the press ammo to this stupid drama. Shanahan isn't doing himself any favors with this crap anymore. Just sit the guy out til the knee heals.

This was all brought on by AH because he refused to come to camps saying he was working on his own. Its great he lost 35 pounds but he could have done that by just diet alone. Now he shows up and is out of shape so he needs to be embarassed.

I tend to agree here...tell the press he will not be running on the knee for the next week so it can heal up...rather than doing light work on it...ditch the work, it can't be helping a bad knee...put him in a brace and let him watch practice and work on the rest of his body and study the playbook like a machine. If the message comes from Shanny, it will still look like he is calling all the shots....I don't see the value in Haynesworth aggravating a knee injury to run some mandatory shuttle test. He'd obviously have to run hard to get through it...likewise, he shouldn't be practicing on a bad knee either...but he should be able to be involved in walkthroughs...again...if Shanny says it is all to benefit his knee...and he must still pass later..he still has all the cards.

Even though Albert loss 35 pounds he was clearly not in football shape if he could not pass the conditioning test. This test will show if you have worked on your cardio. I understand that AH will not run that far during the game but he needs to be in better cardio shape to help his endurance for the reg season games. Last year he was clearly not in top shape. If he gets in top shape he will have a monster season.

Daseal makes a good point. I'm sure a lot of us could pass this test, but that certainly does not mean we're anywhere near being in football shape.

I think thats the whole point. I think the test is more or less trying to see if Albert even has the dedication to ATTEMPT to pass. From what i heard he almost made it the last time, so maybe they will let up and let him practice.

BUT, if he keeps on with this not trying stuff....then they should cut his ass
