Re: Taylor or Winslow

Not to provoke any more of a discussion than this warrants BUT selling seats doesn't translate into wins.

nfl is a business... businesses have owners... owners like profits... winning helps profits, but so do exciting offseasons and overly athletic players... money is money.

Re: Taylor or Winslow

exactly. how many years has vick been in the league, and how many times has he carried the falcons to the super bowl? please answer that. plus, he gets injured a lot, cuz of all the time he spends running. im not saying he's overrated, but what im trying to get across is that teams know how to plan for him. look at the playoff game vs. st. louis. then look at the playoff game vs. philly. did it look like he had a bad game against philly. no, it looked like philly planned for him and their plan worked.

I know. I also look at when the person joined and realize that I guess they don't know better. There's NOTHING I hate more than getting into racial discussions.

Re: Taylor or Winslow

Vick is no doubt exciting. Very exciting, but he still has a lot of progression to go to become a QB. However, when you have a player with the ability to run like that it's hard to tell him to throw the ball away, when you know he can make something out of nothing. Vick has great games, then the next week not so good. When you have DVD you're doing okay.

I also didn't see anything racist. I'm sorry, wewhite, what percentage of Redskins players are white? It's a small minority, I base my criticism on the play I see -- not what color players are. I'm sure everyone on the board is the same way. Ray Lewis is over-rated and Michael Vick, while a very good player, is a bit overrated as a QB.

Re: Taylor or Winslow

wewhite, i think you are the racist. he was just stating his opinion, then you bring racism into it because he mentions two black players and no other players. okay, the percentage of players in the league is black, and most playmakers are black, but you are the only guy on this forum and probably anywhere who points out that the majority is black. look how many white playmakers are in the league. peyton manning, brian urlacher, tom brady, how many are there. you need to keep your racist comments to yourself, because you are the only person here who thinks that way.

Re: Taylor or Winslow

definitely taylor. kellen winslow can kiss my ass. we don't need a superstar at tight end,(not saying he is one), but chris cooley is like a perfect fit. he had a good season last year, elevated himself to starting h-back. there is better but cooley is a solid fit, and sean taylor could be the next ed reed. sean taylor is gonna be our starting free safety for years to come, while kw still has to prove himself.

Re: Taylor or Winslow

From now on any thread that gets into discussions of race will be promptly locked, so don't even bother going there, these discussions go nowhere fast. If I see the same people starting up these discussions you'll be booted.

Re: Taylor or Winslow

One thing that's important to remember is that, for the most part, I have no idea what color any of you are, nor you me. This may not be Dr. King's ideal color blind society, but the internet is as close as we can get right now.

By and large, though I'm sure my race has played a role in my life, it has little to do with my passion for this team. So until I change my handle to "WhiteBoy76", consider me a Redskins fan and a human being.
