I liked Sanders too. The thing that stops me on Sanders is that I actually met him two years back at the Hall of Fame induction for Monk/Green. I was standing in line to take a leak and recognized him and talked a bit. Real nice guy. BUT... he was as wide as he was tall. I mean the man turned positively round. Nothing wrong with the per se, but now I have that picture stuck in my head! Just doesn't fit my football mental image:-)

I think I have narrowed it down to Lachey, Coleman, Houston, or Didier.

Seeing all these names and all of these suggestions does make me a bit sad for my kids though. They will never grow up having such a large number of players they can identify with. Free agency pretty much killed that. As a kid I always knew that I would see the Hogs(including Didier and Warren) year after year. I would see Okie, Kaufman, Coleman, Gouviea, Milot and of course Mann, Manley and Butz. The skill positions would change some(Riggins/Monk/Clark were stalwarts) but that always happens. Remember names like Virgil Seay, Alvin Garrett, Charlie Brown? Hell what about Otis Wonsley, Doc Walker and Mike "I-Never-Fair-Catch" Nelms? Things just change so much now. I think the game misses it, to be honest.
