My NFC EAST predictions

I actually made these before preseason even started,so I will probably just stay with what I have here.

One thing interesting of note,is the play of all 4 teams currently in these meaningless preseason games from what I have here. Could be a prelude of what is to come.....could mean absolutely nothing? We shall see....

Obviously, you know I have us going 14-2 which is contingent on Mcnabb staying healthy for all 16 games. Hopefully he does.

So...here you go!

Re: My NFC EAST predictions

Before the preseason even began...I was very skeptical of what I even had above on this thread.
More of us going 14-2 than the other 3 teams.

Kolb has looked absolutely terrible as well as Vick.

Romo and the Offense is having major issues to the point they are playing in the final preseason finale.

Both the eagles and cowboys line look like ours last year. Add this plus an absolute brutal schedule for these 2 teams as well as injuries and this is a very good possibility imo...

I haven't watched the Giants as much,so my 8-8 record seems about right. They could be better if their defense improves..which i'm betting does not without Spags. (reason imo they looked bad..not injuries to Kenny Phillips and others on D)

So if you allowed me to change 1 team above on my predictions...It would be the 14-2 skins record...

Not the others 3 teams..They don't scare me for some reason, now that we have a QB that looks past the 1st down marker....

But ya gotta admit, it would be nice.

We have one of the NFL's toughest schedules, but anything can happen, so a 14-2 season isn't impossible.

But still, my gut tells me 10-6. I think we go 4-2 in the NFC East, splitting games with Dallas, and NY, while sweeping Philly.

agreed. This is going to be a rough and tumble NFCE year. No team is going to sweep through the schedule or the division.

I see all 4 teams capable of 11-5, and all teams capable of 8-8. Don't think any team finishes under .500, unless Kolb just doesn't cut it.

Re: My NFC EAST predictions

You have us losing to Da Bears and Titans, but winning against the Texans and Colts?

Oh I forgot you posted this at about 7 am and didn't have your first cup of coffie yet.

I hope upon hope your right but I just don't think I'm drinking the same brand of Kool Aid. I'll give you mine:
Dallas: Win, we suprise them.
Texans: Loss, I can see win if KS gives our defense the manual to how it runs.
Rams: Win, nough said.
Eagles: Win, McNabb gives defense the manual this time.
Packers: Loss.
Colts: Loss.
Bears: Win, Martz can't fix this mess.
Lions: Win.
Eagles: Win, Eagles imploding.... or so I hope.
Titans: Loss.
Vikings: Win, this is my toss up. We could lose if they are healthy if not win.
Giants: Loss, crowd noise unbearable.
Bucs: Win, they are not as good as they think. HC gets fired after this yr.
Cowboys: Win.
Jags: Win.
Giants: Win, Crowd returns the favor. MS is 50/50 against the Giants.

So I have them 11-5. This all depends on if we stay healthy, and how healthy the opponants are. I know we are better then a 8-8 team but how much better is the question. My prediction in the other thread was 9-7 realistically, but I can see us picking up a couple more wins now that some teams look bad or have significant injuries.

Re: My NFC EAST predictions

Skins 11-5
Cowboys 9-7
Giants 8-8
Eagles 7-9

Hey why not, dream big folks. This is the time of the year to do it. Reality sets in soon.

Re: My NFC EAST predictions

1. Dallas 10-6 ( I hate them just as much as anyone else but I think they have a good team led by that great pass rush and Run game.. O Line is a ? So I don't see them running away with anything). 2. Washington 9-7 ( Week 1 is our chance to show everyone this team is here to stay.. Love all the additions and anytime you add A Franchise QB and 2 time SB champion coach, you Should be ok.. Run game is suspect but I trust shanahan ). 3. New York 8-8 ( Oline is getting old fast, Eli is a solid QB but nothing special. WRs are pretty good so that always helps. Defense was horrible last season and I don't see it getting better that fast.). 4. Philadelphia 7-9 ( huge change at QB, is kevin Kolb the real deal? We will find out soon. Andy Reid is a really good coach but let's face it, he won't run the football and that has always killed them. Jackson is the most explosive player in the division Maybe the NFC, I just don't think they are ready to compete just yet). That's my honest predictions , I'm drinking the Kool-aid but I don't want to get crazy and say we will win 12 games

I think you might be hitting the nail on the head though.

Skins- I can see 11-5 with how the injury plagued preseason has panned out.

Cowboys- 9-7 is about right. I'll predict now their HC is fired.

Giants- Even the HC said they are not playing together.

Eagles- Let Kolbe take one good hit and get injured....the team will be sorry they are left with Vick.

Philly will miss DM. Dallas is the only playoff team from the division.

Well we were embarrassed by the Lions last year, and were a missed field goal from beating the Saints

Re: My NFC EAST predictions

9-7 for us this season and with a record like that I would be very satisfied with a schedule this tough. The biggest positive will be the feeling that the franchise is moving in the right direction. Things over the last decade have been so erratic and unstable. With a 9-7 record and finally a feeling of stability from a management stand point, we should be very happy.
