Yes, I think right now on paper we've got one of the worst receiving corps in the league. How many teams in the league would have Santana Moss as their #1? Ick.
I am not being sarcastic at all...McNabb can throw the deep ball, the out route, fade, the hook, the slat, etc. No more waiting on the QB to throw the damn ball as soon as the WR makes a cut. Sure, he's no Payton Manning but he's better than 90% of the QBs in the league...and the fact that he threw 70% and he had such shitty receivers gives me hope that him and our receivers are going to have a magical year. We'll know soon enough.

Better than 90% puts him in the top 3ish QBs, which he is not.

He didn't say 90% of the starting QBs, just the QBs...which puts him in the top 10ish...which he could be

Drew Brees might be the best QB in the NFL and Aaron Rodgers is going to have another monster year.

I say McNabb is easy top ten, but not top five.

For 2010 I'd take Manning, Brady, Aaron Rogers, Tony Romo, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, and probably Matt Schaub and Brett Favre over McNabb. I do think he's in the lower half of the top 10 in the league, which is still pretty darn good.

With Warner's retirement, Roethlisberger's suspension, doubt about the Giants, Favre's uncertainty, he could easily slide in to say the 8 spot.

Yeah, I can see #8 this year. I can kinda see the McNabb side of Eli vs. McNabb, but based on recent history (just the last two years) Eli has been a little bit above McNabb in terms of production.

It's just two years though, so I can see the system change propeling McNabb back to second in the division. It's a small leap of faith, but justifiable for a Redskins fan.

No doubt.. and John Clayton might agree with us

Ranking the Beast quarterbacks - NFC East Blog - ESPN

Quote:
9. Donovan McNabb, Washington Redskins

Clayton's analysis: Mike Shanahan offers McNabb play-action options he didn't have with the Eagles' pass-heavy offense. With McNabb at the helm, the Redskins could be one of the surprise teams in the NFC.

Arrow is pointing: Spinning as he adjusts to a new offense

Mosley's take: I have immense respect for McNabb's fine work, but he probably wouldn't make my "elite" list. This is something that McNabb will undoubtedly use as motivation in 2010.

I'm not taking Matt Schaub over McNabb. Sorry but the guy's only done it for one year and is as soft as butter. And I'm not even sure about Romo or Rivers. I'd say right now they're probably even but McNabb has done more with less so you could easily argue that McNabb is better than both of them.

Brees, Rodgers, Rivers first come to mind

Forgot about Drew Brees. Rodgers and Rivers aren't better...they're on par at best. Give them a few years and maybe we can say they are better.

Situationally you could make an argument for having any of them, I'm just saying who had the better performances across the season.
