I feel you. I'm from Landover near Seat Pleasant but let me be out of the state or the country and someone askes where I'm from, DC just rolls off the tongue. Then I can clarify with I'm not in DC but I live in such and such. Or I'll always use DC as the base point. That's just how it is. yeah if someone asks where I'm from I just say DC.. I've lived there and they don't know particular cities in VA
