that would be the most elaborate smoke screen ever. After the Jets preseason game, sit him down, tell him that you want to verbally trash him in the media, tell him you want to play him in 89 percent of defensive snaps in the fourth preseason game, ask him to look like he has a broken spirit as he plays, and tell him to perform with improper 34 technique, and finally float to the media the teams interest in a trade only to use it as the most impressive smoke screen I have ever seen in professional sports or otherwise to confuse wade "big dummy" phillips (who, by the way, continuously has his slack jawed, confused face on full time).

Saying this is all a smoke screen would be more impressive to me than the ending of "the usual suspects" - though it would be great if it were true.
