Re: Some positives from week 2
The Cowboys and the Giants lost. I'm very positive about that.

Re: Some positives from week 2
The complexion of this division looks a whole lot different than I thought it would. We have a shot at it.........

Re: Some positives from week 2
We are now playing competitive football, CP is still no joke, DMc can make WR's better, OL when healthy shows promise, OFF play call is great, the Coaches no how to game plan, DF is flying around.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I think McNabb was the only highlight of the game. Well, the receivers too, they all stepped up to the challenge (and hopefully close the Vincent Jackson thread).

Re: Some positives from week 2
Has anyone noticed that London Fletcher is actually really good in coverage? Might have to start referring to Tight Ends being stranded on Fletcher island. Everytime I see him being targeted he's been in perfect position to prevent the ball from being caught.

I don't know if his cover skill have always been that good, and I just didn't notice or he improved that much over the off season.....BUT the guy is a total baller!

Re: Some positives from week 2
I like the fact that our passing attack was really good until our two best pass blockers went out (T Williams and CP).
Kudos to CP for great pass blocking all day. I thought it was great of the OC to start out with Mike Sellers after the horrid game he had last week. He came through very nicely. It was great seeing some bombs that actually worked, as well as others that were awfully close. We now have shown we have 2 wide receivers and 2 tight ends that can catch the long ball as well as the fact that we have a fullback who can catch passes out of the backfield. This success will force defensive coordinators to reconsider how they try to defend us. I agree, in addition, with the comments above about Landry and Fletcher. Furthermore, I witnessed a miracle yesterday. Another interception bounced off of Rogers's hands, but it came back to him and he MADE THE CATCH. At that point I was sure we'd win the game. Next year, Donovan, please invite him to the receivers' camp in Arizona. If you can turn those clubs into hands that should be good for 5 picks a year. I didn't like losing yesterday, but at least it was exciting, and it wasn't embarrassing to be a Redskins fan in spite of the loss. The last time I remember a feeling like this was when we had Sonny and no defense... |
